NEW YORK--Mark Sanchez’ rough year continued on Monday night when he was unable to get an erection during an encounter with a Manhattan college student at his New York City apartment. The Jets quarterback, 23, blamed his impotence on the harsh glare of the New York City spotlight. “It’s hard to put into words how tough it is to be constantly living in the harsh glare of the New York City spotlight,” Sanchez told reporters today. “It can be overwhelming. Like Monday night, for example, when I was trying to get it up with this hottie from NYU, I just kind of choked. I shriveled up like a raisin. I told the girl it was the constant glow of the harsh New York City spotlight that made me impotent. She didn’t like that. She said she was tired of that stupid cliché. Ha. She’ll never be a reporter, that’s for sure.”
