BRISTOL, CT--According to ESPN’s Pat Forde, the head coach of your home team is seen as a great fit to replace Charlie Weis at Notre Dame. Forde ranks him number four on his list of most likely candidates to be coaching the Irish next year. “This guys has all the qualifications to be coaching the Irish,” said Forde. “He’s got the track record, he’s got the personality, he’s got panache, he has a history with the school, and he’s great at recruiting. Plus he might feel like he’s gone as far as he can with his current program. He might feel like it’s time for a new challenge. Who wouldn’t want to get away from that sinking ship anyway?” When questioned, your favorite coach said he is not interested in the job as long as Charlie Weis is there.
