MEMPHIS, TN—Point guard Allen Iverson signed with the Memphis Grizzlies in the offseason in an attempt to revive his career and prove he can still play. Since joining the team, however, Iverson has maintained a low profile, in part because he doesn’t want his friends to know he's playing for the Grizzlies. “I do want coaches and GM’s to know that I can still play, but as far as my friends, I’d rather, you know, keep it to myself,” Iverson said in the locker room after a game. “It would kind of ruin my reputation if people saw me playing in this goofy uniform, throwing passes to frigging Marc Gasol, and taking orders from a coach I’ve never heard of. So I’m just trying to law low right now. No, please don’t take my picture. Please. Okay, let me change out of this shirt first.”
