WASHINGTON--Ken Alvarado, trainer for the Philadelphia Eagles, hoped his family was watching on Sunday as he bent over unconscious defensive back Brandon Williams on the 50 yard line of Fedex Field. The 30-year old has only been with the team a year and this was his first time on television. “Wow, that was awesome!” he said afterwards. “All of a sudden the guy goes down, he’s not moving at all, and I gotta run out there in front of 60,000 people and help him. So I’m bent over trying to revive him, and the whole time I’m thinking ‘I hope my family is watching this. I’m a freaking hero!’ And then I walk him off the field real slow like a solider dragging his friend off the field of battle. It was then I was reminded why I do this job: to get on TV.”
